Keeping everything in the cloud is currently the best way of keeping your files safe. It's not like your data is floating in the sky as "the cloud" is just a fancy name of saying that your files are kept on a different computer and you can access them any time you want. Let's check out whether Dropbox for Android is worth checking out!
Dropbox is a cloud service that lets users keep up to 2 GB of their data backed up on the cloud for free. If that's not enough you can upgrade to Dropbox Plus for $11.99/month to receive up to 2 TB (2000 GB) of space for your files. Also, you can invite your contacts to join Dropbox and receive an additional 500 MB for each user who decides to join via your invite. 2 GB of storage space for free is not quite sufficient, considering how Google Drive gives you 15 GB for free and OneDrive gives you 5 GB.
The app's design is modern and it's easy to use. You can easily access files you have recently opened or uploaded in the Home section or you can navigate to Files and see how the files you've uploaded are organized. Files can be made available offline and you can sync your photos by connecting to a computer with Dropbox installed.
Dropbox Papers, a document collaboration app, needs to be downloaded separately. You can easily upload files from your phone, create folders, or add files from a computer that has Dropbox installed. A useful feature is that you can scan a document from within the app and upload it as either a PDF file or as images. You can connect your account across three devices at max with a free account.
